More than a marketplace

A grassroots movement built one community at a time.

Someone nearby can use the chainsaw sitting in your garage—or the luggage in your attic. RentShare makes that exchange easy, accountable, and rewarding.

RentShare Ambassador Program

Be the neighbor who gets RentShare moving.

RentShare Ambassadors are independent community educators who help turn a new marketplace into a trusted local habit. They choose whether and how to help neighbors understand RentShare, create strong first listings, complete successful first actions, and feel confident using the marketplace.

Bring neighbors together

Ambassadors who choose to host small events or partner conversations can answer questions and uncover what each ZIP code needs most.

Approved founding-pilot model

Earn for verified outcomes—not hours.

Eligible Ambassadors may receive compensation when a referred neighbor completes a genuine, approved marketplace outcome. Account creation, conversations, leads, event attendance, and incomplete transactions do not earn a reward.

Pilot status Terms approved

Paid participation begins only after the Ambassador Program formally opens and all eligibility requirements are completed.

Qualified first listing $5

The referred member’s first genuine, complete, approved listing remains available for seven days unless rented sooner.

First completed rental $10

The referred member’s first genuine paid rental is completed and clears the 14-day cancellation, refund, and chargeback review period.

Maximum per member $15

One listing reward plus one completed-rental reward. Account creation alone does not qualify.

01 Referral attribution

The referred person must create a verified account within 30 days. The first valid Ambassador referral is locked to that member, and only one Ambassador receives attribution.

02 Qualification window

Approved listing or rental outcomes must occur within 90 days after the referred account is verified.

03 Monthly payout

Validated rewards are issued electronically on the 15th. The $25 minimum balance carries forward automatically without expiring.

04 Clear records

Ambassadors receive an itemized statement showing each referral, qualifying outcome, reward, and adjustment.

Independent Ambassador model

Your time and methods remain yours.

RentShare does not assign shifts, fixed hours, referral quotas, exclusive territories, mandatory meetings, or guaranteed earnings. Ambassadors decide whether, when, where, and how to pursue eligible outcomes while following published disclosure, safety, privacy, truthful-advertising, and marketplace-result standards.

Before compensation
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Complete all nine Academy modules and certification
  • Receive separate Active and Compensation-Eligible status

  • Provide identity, Form W-9, and secure payment information
  • Remain in good standing and use the required disclosure
Required disclosure“I’m a RentShare Ambassador and may receive compensation if you take a qualifying action through my link.”

Compensation is not guaranteed and depends on approved, verified outcomes. The final program agreement and operating model remain subject to Virginia employment-counsel and tax-adviser review before launch.
